Our story

Saboo is a ceramic studio based in Toronto, Ontario. We place ourselves at the junction of art, craft and design. Our handmade and unique home decor pieces will perfectly complement your living or work space. Our one-of-a-kind porcelain and stoneware sculptures make great gifts to your loved ones. Note that all our tableware are food- and dishwasher-safe. We offer handbuilding and slip casting pottery classes as well as studio access to our local arts and crafts community.

Our Team

	Mohammad Tabesh (he/him) is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Toronto, Canada. With a background in engineering and a degree in Fine Arts from OCAD University, Mohammad brings a unique perspective to his art practice. His work spans various mediums, including writing, printmaking, multimedia, and sculpture, all focusing on storytelling through objects. One of Mohammad's main artistic interests is exploring the relationship between clay and the human body. Through his ceramic sculptures, he investigates the materiality of clay and its ability to evoke emotions and sensations in the viewer. Mohammad's work challenges traditional notions of sculpture and expands the possibilities of this medium. In 2020, Mohammad was recognized for his outstanding achievements as a student by receiving the Sculpture and Installation medal from OCAD University. Since then, he has continued to create thought-provoking and engaging art that speaks to the human experience.
	Claudia Vieira Valente (she/her) is a talented graphic designer, illustrator, and 3D artist hailing from Brazil. Drawing inspiration from her daily observations, literature, and photography, Claudia creates beautiful paintings that capture the essence of nature and childhood. Her preferred mediums include watercolor, mixed media, dry pastel, and digital painting. Claudia holds a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from FAAP (Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado) in São Paulo, Brazil, where she honed her creative skills and developed a deep understanding of the artistic process. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in 3D animation from Centennial College in Toronto, Canada, where she expanded her technical knowledge and learned how to bring her artistic vision to life in new and exciting ways. With a passion for visual storytelling and a dedication to her craft, Claudia is a highly skilled artist with a unique perspective on the world around her. Her work has been featured in exhibitions and galleries worldwide, and she continues to create breathtaking art that inspires and delights viewers. 	Goly Farrokhkish (she/her) is our marketing manager. She is the one who makes sure everything runs smoothly, from sales to website, from social media to online presence. Goly earned her B.Des. in Graphic Design in 2009 from OCAD University and is a certified Project Manager.
	Minoo Iranpour (she/her) is a painter, and video artist, with Bachelor's degree in Drawing and Painting and a Master's in Art Research from Tehran university. She has been thought of as an art professor at Tehran and Esfahan university in Iran. Her pieces have been shown around the world including in Germany, France, Canada, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, Austria, Poland, Argentina, South Korea, Finland, and Portugal to name a few.
